Dr. Lau grew up in Canada and moved to the U.S. after graduating dental school in 2000 from the University of Detroit Mercy.  He then practiced general dentistry for 18 years throughout NW Ohio.  In 2007, he and his wife adopted Sandusky as their home and community.  While practicing as a general dentist in Sandusky, Dr. Lau often had to refer families who had children that needed to see a Pediatric Dentist.  Unfortunately, these families had to travel far out of the area to get this specialized care.  Realizing the needs of the community, he went back to school for additional training so that he could bring these services closer to home.  Dr. Lau graduated the Pediatric Dental Residency Program from the University of Toledo and completed his Board Certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.  He is on the medical staff and maintains privileges at both Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Toledo.  In his spare time, Dr. Lau enjoys quality family time with his wife Karen and son Louis.
